SMS Consent Flow
A reviewer-friendly walkthrough of how end users consent to receive SMS from the Elyptis AI Missed-Call Auto-Response program.
Section 1 — The two-step consent flow
Consent is collected in two steps. Both must occur for a consumer to receive any messages beyond the single transactional reply to their missed call.
The phone number is publicly listed (Google Business Profile, business website, signage) with a visible AI-assist disclosure (see Section 2 for the standard copy).
The message identifies the brand ("Elyptis AI"), names the originating business as context, includes "Reply YES to schedule a callback" as the opt-in prompt, and includes "Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply."
Elyptis sends an opt-in confirmation message and begins a brief callback-scheduling conversation, capped at 5 total messages per call event. If the consumer never replies YES, no follow-up messages are sent.
Immediate unsubscribe, single confirmation message, no further texts. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, and OPTOUT are also honored.
Section 2 — Required AI-Assist Disclosure
Every Subscribing Business is contractually required to display the standard AI-assist disclosure on (a) their Google Business Profile description, (b) the contact section of their business website, and (c) any physical signage where the phone number is displayed.
Standard disclosure copy
Where it appears
- Google Business Profile. In the description / hours-and-info section.
- Business website. Contact page footer at minimum; ideally adjacent to the phone number wherever it is displayed.
- Physical signage. Any storefront, vehicle wrap, business card, or printed material where the phone number is shown.
Enforcement
Subscribing Businesses self-attest at onboarding that the disclosure has been added to all three locations. The Subscribing Business Agreement requires placement and authorizes Elyptis to suspend the service if the disclosure is removed.
Section 3 — Verify it yourself
Reviewers and curious visitors can verify the entire flow live by calling the Elyptis demo line. This number runs the same Elyptis stack as production Subscribing Businesses.
What happens: if the call goes unanswered, you'll receive a single transactional SMS within ~30 seconds. Reply YES to opt in to a callback-scheduling conversation, or STOP to opt out. The full SMS exchange will mirror the samples in Section 4.
Section 4 — Sample messages in context
The following is a representative end-to-end SMS exchange a consumer would see after their call to a Subscribing Business goes unanswered. Substitute "Sunshine Realty Group" with the name of any Elyptis Subscribing Business.
Triggered by the missed call. The only message a consumer receives if they do not reply YES.
Opt-in keyword. Triggers the opt-in confirmation auto-reply and unlocks the scheduling conversation.
Conversation ends here. Hard cap is 5 total messages per missed-call event. The conversation does not roll into any subscription, list, or recurring campaign.
Section 5 — Subscribing Business Agreement excerpt
The following clause is included in every Elyptis Subscribing Business Agreement. It establishes that disclosure placement is a contractual condition of the service and creates the legal basis for the point-of-call consent in Step 1.
